This is Photojournalist Fred G. Haseney with his eye on scientology. Today, I’m reporting 2,700 miles from the Church of scientology’s Valley “Ideal” Org, located at 11455 Burbank Blvd., in North Hollywood, California. They’re having a gala event this weekend in support of that org. I have specifics for the event (who planned it; correspondence between that person and the City of Los Angeles) as well as street images as provided by Google Maps. If you don’t have anything to do that evening, show your “support” for this “Ideal” Org project by protesting against it!

(The numbers in blue/red at the bottom of some of the photos are not in numerical order. They’re in reverse order.)
Photo Caption: “The manager of the Twin Palms Apts. on the west side of the [parking] lot has signed off on the sidewalk closure and curb closure,” writes Ms. Morrill to Ms. Kishita, on September 13, 2016 (the address for the Twin Palms is 11458 Burbank Blvd.). Further, Ms. Morrill states, “The generator that will be used for the event is a 750 amp quiet studio generator.”
Photo Caption: “Our tent company, Town and Country, is working directly with LAFD [“Los Angeles Fire Department”] on the permit and getting the Fire Safety Marshal. Town and Country already paid LAFD the permit fees and $256 for the Fire Safety Marshal. I spoke to Sgt. Correa at LAPD [“Los Angeles Police Department”] who is getting the information and will call me back this afternoon or send you the information needed. I had to leave a detailed message with DOT [“Department of Transportation”] Traffic to send you the information or to click not involved. I will continue to follow up,” writes Ms. Morrill to Ms. Kishita on Sept. 23, 2016. (Town & Country Event Rentals is located at 7725 Airport Business Park Way, in Van Nuys, CA, (818) 908-4211.)
Photo Caption: “I spoke to Sgt. Steve Wright at LADOT [“Los Angeles Department of Transportation”] Traffic. He wants me to amend the permit so that the sidewalks are not closed on either side of Burbank so that pedestrians are not forced to cross the street where there is no crosswalk. So I would like to amend the permit to exclude the sidewalk closure. I will be keeping the curb closure on both sides,” writes Ms. Morrill to Ms. Kishita on Sept. 23, 2016. (Protesters everywhere should thank Sgt. Steve Wright!) “Per the sponsors request the sidewalk closure has been removed,” writes Ms. Kishita to Ms. Morrill on Sept. 26, 2016.
Photo Caption: “Please provide 20 to 30 barricades as needed or requested to implement lane closures on Burbank Blvd., from Farmdale Ave. to Lankershim Blvd.,” writes Steven Wright on Sept. 26, 2016.
